You can now download and install the Pokemon Unite MOBA game on all compatible devices for free. The latest version brings new features to Nintendo’s first-ever mobile 5v5 multiplayer online battle arena game called Pokemon Unite for Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. It is a free-to-play, cross-platform, multiplayer gameplay that resembles LoL Mobile, Legends of Runeterra, Diablo Immortal, and AFK Arena.

Pokemon Unite MOBA 2023:

Two teams consisting of five players each will enter the arena in a battle to control Pokemon MOBA Camps, collect points, and defeat the opponents. Scoring two points in two minutes doubles the total points tally.

Pokemon Unite brings your favorite Pokemon heroes and characters to the popular mobile MOBA genre. It is a cross-platform game which means players on Android and iOS smartphones can Unite to play against rivals on Nintendo Switch in live online battle arenas.

This is the only team battle Pokemon game that is multi-platform and supports substantial multiplayer crossplay on Switch and mobile.

Multiple players and crossplay mean that hardware is not a substantial barrier to playing.

Free-to-play means there’s no financial barrier to joining.

5v5 MOBA multiplayer means you have every reason to want to get your friends to play together and catch the best Pokemon in different categories.

A Pokemon MOBA could be very beneficial for everyone really. MOBAs are games that can easily give you hundreds and thousands of hours of gameplay without spending a penny.

Given we may not get any main series title this year, and amid lockdown situations in many parts of the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, having some Pokemons to dump our time into might actually be very good.

Furthermore, aesthetics and other items such as skins that are not directly related to the gameplay likely cost real money. This investment may be a continuous form of support to help developers fund the next pokemon games.

Confirmed (so far):

Galvantula is spawned behind a wall close to spawn to catch at the game start for each team.
No mana system in the game.
No item system in the game.
Zapdos spawns for both teams to battle over in the center of the map.
Gift boxes can spawn during the game.
Snorlax can have a sleep punch ability.
Pokemon will evolve when you hit levels 5 and 9.
Unite Moves are unlocked at level 9.
Every player will have 4 different moves and a Unite move.
The max level a Pokemon can reach is 15.
Pikachu can use Electroweb.
A Rotom will occasionally spawn in the center of the bottom lane. Defeating it will make it follow the player and give heals to the team. The Rotom will disappear if it is defeated by the enemy team or it reaches a goal(after activation.
In both teams’ jungle, a Toxicroak will spawn and offer a blue buff to the player that defeats it.
Above the top lane center, the Altaria will spawn.

Only certain species will start the match in base form. We actually see at the beginning of the match, Lucario and Snorlax spawn into the game already evolved. But we see the starters and even Machoke/Machop pre-evolved under level 9. At one point you can also see Fletchling in a rectangular box animation gaining points on the screen. So my view is it depends on the species.
