You can now disable password login on PC Windows 10. Starting from version 20H1, a new feature allows users to completely ditch passwords on their devices. Here is how to configure the setting to remove the PC login password requirement on Windows 10 operating system.

Microsoft wants to empower its customers to login to Windows 10 without a device passcode. As more and more Windows devices switch towards facial recognition and Touch ID, the Redmond tech company feels there is not much of a utility to the traditional password login option for device authentication.
The 20H1 update for Windows 10 takes a step in the direction of the passwordless PC desktop and laptop. The new feature is known as “Make your device passwordless” which will switch all currently active Microsoft accounts over to the faster Windows Hello authentication.

Here is a step-by-step guide that will enable you to turn off Windows 10 device passwords on the 20H1 and later versions.
How to Enable Device Passwordless On Windows 10:
Here are the steps to disable the login password to enable passwordless device authentication on your PC or Laptop.
Step 1 – On a Windows 10 device, open Settings.
Step 2 – Click on Accounts.
Step 3 – Select Sign-in options on the left pane.
Step 4 – On the right pane in the Sign-in options settings window, you’ll see a toggle under Make your device passwordless. Turn it to the ON position, if it’s off.
Step 5 – That’s all.
Once all of the above steps are completed, Microsoft accounts on your device will be redirected to a more secure authentication method such as Windows Hell Facial Recognition or the Fingerprint Touch ID.
If your device doesn’t have Windows Hello, a camera to scan your face for login, or a fingerprint reader, you can still enable the passwordless feature on Windows using a PIN.
Do note that this login option won’t be visible in Windows 10 Settings on devices running on any operating system older than Windows 10 build 18936 (part of the upcoming 20H1 update in 2020). So make sure your computer is updated to the compatible version in order to use this new login setup.
