Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch Version Is Still In Development! Learn More Here

Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact is still under development, that’s according to an official source from miHoYo Limited, the makers of the original hit role-playing game on PlayStation, PC, and mobile. Since its release a year and a half ago, Genshin Impact RPG has firmly established itself among the most downloaded titles on all available platforms, bar one. Android, iOS, Windows, and PS players are already enjoying various characters, events, quests, expansions, and regular additions to the game’s open-world environment. However, Nintendo Switch users are still waiting for their turn to enter the fray. Naturally, some Nintendo owners wonder where the Switch iteration is.

In the early days around Genshin’s launch, there were official claims about the Nintendo Switch version of the game dating as far back as March 2022. But soon afterward, reports on this front fell off the radar. So it should not come as a surprise when those curious started looking for answers as to the current status of Genshin Impact for Nintendo Switch. And sure enough, folks over there at GoNintendo decided to take on the task of eliciting an explanation behind the delay.

It’s been a long time since Switch enthusiasts have patiently watched Genshin Impact dominate all the other platforms on computers, consoles, and smartphones. At the same time, the conspicuous absence of the Nintendo Switch is sure to annoy the fans.

This is where GoNintendo comes with their detective hats on. They asked miHoYo (game developers) what probability the fans should attach the possibility of the free-to-play hit landing on Switch.

And the confirmation did arrive, though a bit brief. So Xin Yang, miHoYo’s global PR executive, said, “The Switch version [of Genshin Impact] is still in development, and we will release more information as we progress further along.” Not a long-winded reply, but sufficient to soothe the anxious ones.

That said, the level of progress in the development cycle is missing from the explanation. We can only speculate it could roll out soon, or miHoYo is yet to dedicate in-house resources to fast-track work on the project. Guess we will have to wait until an official source comes forward with a public statement. Hopefully, the Switch players will get the version announced initially to make it worth the wait.

Currently, no information is available regarding the Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch version release date.
