Both tech giants started collaboration on the project last year, and demonstrated a preview showcasing how Alexa and Cortana can work together during the Microsoft’s 2018 build event. Finally the first public preview is available to the public, and anyone can try it, even without needing an Amazon device. All you need is a Windows 10 device that is connected with a Microsoft account and an Amazon account.
The preview is available only to users in the United States, as of this writing. The integration is still very much work-in-progress, and requires some polishing before it’s released for general public. Once the Cortana-Alexa integration is set up, you can check your emails, schedules, and to-do lists. Using Alexa on Windows 10, you can play games, add items to your shopping list, control smart home devices, and check your Amazon orders.

Connect Amazon Alexa With Cortana On Windows 10
1 – Open Cortana.
2 – Click on the microphone icon and use the Open Alexa voice command. (If you have “Hey Cortana” enabled, simply say: Hey Cortana – Open Alexa to begin)
3 – Sign-in with your Amazon account.
4 – Click the Allow button to allow Amazon to connect user data on Windows 10.
5 – Click Yes button, If you want Windows 10 to remember your Amazon sign-in information.
6 – In the Cortana interface, click Yes button to allow Microsoft to share information with Amazon Alexa.
Once the above steps are completed, you can use the “Hey Cortana – Open Alexa” voice command to summon the Alexa digital assistant.
The assistant requires only one-time setup, after configuring the required settings, the Cortana and Alexa integration will be enabled on all your Windows 10 and Amazon devices.

1 – Open Cortana.
2 – Click on the Notebook icon.
3 – Click the Manage Skills tab.
4 – Click on the Amazon Alexa skill.
5 – On next screen, click the Disconnect button.
