You can now connect Amazon Alexa with Cortana on Windows 10 PC, laptop or tablet. Here is everything you need to know about how to setup Amazon Alexa with Cortana on Windows 10.
Microsoft and Amazon have joined forces to bring a new service that allows users to interact with each assistant from the same device to access other apps and services.
Both tech giants started collaboration on the project last year, and demonstrated a preview showcasing how Alexa and Cortana can work together during the Microsoft’s 2018 build event. Finally the first public preview is available to the public, and anyone can try it, even without needing an Amazon device. All you need is a Windows 10 device that is connected with a Microsoft account and an Amazon account.
The preview is available only to users in the United States, as of this writing. The integration is still very much work-in-progress, and requires some polishing before it’s released for general public. Once the Cortana-Alexa integration is set up, you can check your emails, schedules, and to-do lists. Using Alexa on Windows 10, you can play games, add items to your shopping list, control smart home devices, and check your Amazon orders.
