Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is out! And now the latest version comes with an interesting new item called Chrome Splash. When you use the brand-new power-up booster on yourself, it transforms your battle royale game avatar into a chrome for some time while giving you wings such as the ability to sprint faster in blob form. However, players can only use it to throw on other objects, including physical barriers, walls, etc.
In this guide, you will find all the relevant information about the newly released Chrome Splash in Fornite. Also, see tips and tricks to employ it in your strategy with and without needing V-Bucks.

How To Find Chrome Splash In Fortnite:
There is no shortage of Chrome Splashes for you to locate in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. You can find them littered across the map and in chests while roaming around.
Another way to grab them is to bring down chromed structures, just like you would materials made of metal, stone, or wood.
The good news is that Chrome Splash is in abundance all over the island, so gamers shouldn’t have any trouble uncovering these items.
But in case you are having difficulty finding them, reach out to Maximillian, an NPC present on a platform afloat sandwiched between Shifty Shafts and Coney Crossroads, beside the lake, underneath the main road.
Once there, you can purchase some Chrome Splashes for 250 Gold each from him. To discover the exact location of this NPC, look at the blue place marker on the map below.
How To Use Chrome Splash:
As mentioned earlier, Chrome Splash is a concept from Epic Games to give players something fresh to test out in Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 3.
At a time, you’re allowed to carry 8 of these items, which you can then throw at yourself, hurl at teammates, or smash against buildings.
When you use it upon your character (or your allies), it turns you into a chrome that is resistant to fire.
Furthermore, you will become a blob capable of sprinting and dashing at a faster speed but without the ability to attack.
In this state, you can run through a wall, however, this power will extract your stamina, so use it carefully.
In the blob form, you become safe from harm otherwise incurred as a result of a fall.
And if a player collides with you, it will send you back to your standard chromed form for the duration this Epic item remains in effect, which lasts around 30 seconds.
Now as to the effect the Chrome Splash has on buildings when launched against a wall, it enables you to briskly pass through the obstacle and cross over to the other room in a matter of seconds. This move also saves the time otherwise required to destroy barriers with your handaxe. And you don’t have to be in the state of chrome to use it either. That said, you can only use this to jump through vertical walls, not through ceilings or floors. However, the changes to the condition of the structure are permanent.
In addition, the use of Chrome Splashes is allowed on cars. The vehicles will also become immune to fire once the effect takes place.
In short, Chrome Splash hands you a sort of lifeline in difficult situations where you need to run away or quickly escape from the Storm.
During combat, you can enable it as a shield against damage from fire, and therefore you no longer have to worry about Firefly Jar or enemy Grenade damaging your health.
