The Installation Assistant for Windows 11 version 23H2 is now available for download and install on all compatible devices. Microsoft has rolled out the Windows 11 October 2023 update (version 23H2) for the public. Here is how to get the official Installation Assistant to install the latest version of Windows 11 on PC and Laptop.
The Windows 11 version 1903 is being pushed gradually, but if your device isn’t getting the new update through Windows Update, you can perform forced install of the new version using the Installation Assistant tool.
The Windows 11 Installation Assistant is an official tool from Microsoft for devices that are not getting the new update for some unknown reason that doesn’t include any software or hardware compatibility issue. This tool works similarly to the Media Creation Tool, but with the difference that you can only do an in-place upgrade.

If you don’t want to wait until version 23H2 arrives automatically, you can head over to this Microsoft software support download page, and get the Installation Assistant by clicking the Download Now button.
Before proceeding, make sure to backup current device data on an external storage medium or on a cloud service of your choice in case you might need to restore it if things go south during the update process.
Once the file is downloaded, double-click on it to launch the tool, and click the Accept and Install button to begin the installation.
If your device passes all the hardware and software requirements, the Windows 11 October 2023 Update will start downloading, and then click the Restart button to begin the installation process. This starts the installation of the new version on your device.
Upgrading to the new version of Windows 11 is straightforward with the Installation Assistant. All you have to do is follow on-screen instructions and let the Assistant do its work in the background. But if you get any errors or issues, you can use the official ISO file to create a bootable USB flash drive to clean install, and resolve problems with the update or Windows 11 activation process.
