Android 14 QPR1 Factory Image + OTA Download Links [December Security Update]

Google has finally rolled out the Android 14 QPR1 with the December security update for all supported Pixel devices. The good news is that this release also brings the promised Feature Drop. The Pixel devices compatible to receive this update are 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, and 8 Pro.

Android 14 QPR1 With Many Useful Features Is Now Available For All Supported Pixel Devices:

With the Android 14 QPR1, a new feature now allows users to set a specific aspect ratio on Pixel Tablet and Fold. On the tablet, choosing Full screen, Half screen, and 16:9 screen resolution is possible. But Google is releasing this feature as an experimental addition to the operating system, which you can access in Settings > Apps > Aspect Ration or from the App Info menu.

Additionally, you can find the Manufacture date and Cycle count of your phone. For that, head over to Settings > About Phone > Battery Information. Moreover, a new “Metro” lock screen clock is also available.

Furthermore, there is another small tweak related to the Wallpaper & style in the Android 14 QPR1 software update. When enabled, it introduces a new particle effect matching the changing background. In addition, Pixel Launcher in Search preferences now appears as a more prominent shortcut.

Another notable improvement pertains to Quick Settings, more specifically to the Tiles function. For instance, on the Pixel tablet, you will see a more clearly noticeable toast message every time your fingerprint isn’t recognized.

Google has also issued fixes to 33 security issues in the Android 14 December patch, dated 2023-12-01, and 61 fixes in the 2023-12-05 follow-up.
