Microsoft Windows 11 Release Date Officially Announced! Learn More Here

After weeks of speculations, Windows 11 release date is now official! Microsoft has made an official announcement about the launch of its next generation of Windows operating system to the public. Starting from 5 October 2021 is when current Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, and Windows 10 users can begin downloading the Windows 11 OS to complete set up with all the latest features and more.

All eligbile Windows devices will receive the upgrade from next month onward. Whereas, new devices will start rolling out with Windows 11 pre-installed as manufacturers make their compatible models available for purchase.

As was the case with previous Windows 10 updates, the free upgrade to Windows 11 on currently compatible devices will roll out in phases. So if you own a newer laptop, desktop, or tablet, the update will arrive for you before those who have older PCs.

Microsoft has confirmed in a press statement that this free upgrade offer process should cover all eligible devices by the middle of 2022.

Or you can manually check the update status through Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. That said, the while upgrade phase will last for over 6 months minimum.
