Ubisoft Rainbow Six For Mobile Announced! Here Are Details

Free to play tactical FPS Rainbow Six is coming to mobile platforms. Developer Ubisoft has announced the Rainbow Six Mobile versionĀ for iOS and Android devices.

With the recent popularity of first-person shooters like Call of Duty andĀ CoD Mobile, it was only a matter of time before the mobile version of Rainbow Six with support for touchscreen devices arrived.

In all fairness to Ubisoft, one can’t fault the game studio for attempting to take a piece of the revenue pie away from hot properties in the sphere, such as Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile, PUBG NEW STATE, and Fortnite battle royale titles.

Sure enough, here we are, at long last, with Rainbow Six Mobile!

Based on the famous Rainbow Six franchise, the game promises to deliver a new type of tactical first-person shooting experience that is free-to-play on smartphones and tablets running iOS and Android firmware.

Soon, interested players can download the game from the App Store and Google Play Store to pre-register for the closed alpha testing version.

For now, here is the announcement trailer for the game below:

Behind the development work is a newly formed dedicated team of creators at Ubisoft Montreal station. In terms of gameplay, gamers can expect a style similar to the one many are already familiar with in Rainbow Six Siege, only this time designed from the ground up for mobile devices.

As for the game modes, players will participate in 5v5, and Player-vs-Player (PvP) matches in the core game mode: Attack vs. Defense.

Whereas the player classes include Attackers and Defenders, each consisting of characters having unique abilities and skills suitable to perform specialized tasks during battles.

Mainly, Attackers deploy reconnaissance drones to gather intel and use that information to force their way through obstacles in the form of ceilings, walls, and floors. On the other hand, defenders are responsible for erecting defensive barriers at all entry points while securing their locations using spy cams and laying out other ensnaring traps.

To master combat in intense face-to-face duels, participants must rely on close teamwork to develop successful tactical plans consisting of timely alternation between attacking and defensive moves.

Further assisting players in executing their grand strategies are specialists from the Rainbow Six universe. These operators come equipped with their unique weapons and gadgets.

Moreover, to provide the most authentic environment, the mobile iteration borrows from the iconic maps from Rainbow Six Siege, including Border and Bank.

Additionally, it features popular PvP game modes such as Bomb and Secure Area.

As part of the official announcement surprise, Ubisoft now allows players to sign up for a chance to participate in upcoming tests via the game’s website. Rainbow Six Mobile for Android and iOS aims to offer customizable controls and exclusive modes keeping in view players’ comfort while playing on the go.
