Rainbow Six Mobile Closed Beta 2.0:

The first Closed Beta finished last fall, and since then developers had put the follow-up beta updates on hold to ensure the most stable rollout possible.

Last fall, thousands of Operators in eight territories around the world joined Closed Beta. The feedback gained through the test combined with data collected helped creators make several improvements to the game since then, which are incorporated in the Closed Beta 2.0.

Release Date And Countries

With early alpha closed now, we are entering the next phase of testing. The next closed beta test will begin June 6th, 2023, and will remain open for six weeks.

What can you expect in this Closed Beta?

The Operators and the maps that were accessible during our previous Beta will remain, along with a few additions:

  • Operator’s progression via Mastery Tracks
  • Early customization system: loadouts and skins
  • New Beta Battlepass with no experience cap
  • Introduction of Team Deathmatch game mode

Introducing Team Deathmatch

Rainbow Six Mobile can be intimidating for new players, which is why Team Deathmatch is an important game mode. TDM will help newcomers learn the basics, try out weapon loadouts, and get some action without the intimidation of a regular match.

While TDM will be available in the upcoming Beta, lots of changes and improvements for future phases of this game mode.

For more seasoned players, no worry, competitiveness remains one of the game pillars with tactical attacker vs defender gameplay.

Plus, Veteran mode introduced during the last Beta is now incorporated into the game.

One last tidbit of great news – ranked mode is in the works! Expect this mode during a future test phase.

Wrap Up

One thing you’ll notice in the above image is the absence of any dates. Developers want to make sure to get things right which could cause shifting release dates depending on the progress goals achieved. If something isn’t up to standards or needs additional time for fixes, it is better to build that into the timeline instead of committing to dates now, and over-promising/under-delivering.

So get ready Operators! The next Closed Beta is coming on 6 June 2023.
