However, wireless charge technology is still very much in its infancy phase and lags behind wired charging solutions in terms of speed. Charging phones wirelessly takes a long time to fully power the battery to its maximum capacity. So the question is how can one get fast wireless charging without having to wait a long time for the phone to get fully charged? Big smartphone manufacturing companies, including Google, have improved wireless technology with the introduction of Fast Wireless Charge. As its name implies, Fast wireless charging takes less time to fully power up the battery than the usual wireless charging methods. The issue while using Qi-chargers for wireless use with Pixel 3 phones is that if they are not certified by Google’s official program, the charging speed won’t be up to par with the usual standards. On non-certified charging pad, Pixel 3 only gets 750mA charging speed.
Get Fast Wireless Charging on Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL
If you own a Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL handset and use a non-approved third-party charging pad, you can increase charging speed using a simple solution below. XDA member “k0rner” has figured out a way to get faster wireless charge speed on all charging pads for Pixel 3.
The solution is a bit technical so follow only if you’re confident in applying all the instructions properly. First, navigate to/sys/class/power_supply/wireless, voltage_max and find a control file that has a default value set at 5000000 (5V). Once this value is changed to 9000000 (9V), the charging current shots up from 750mA to 1290mA, an almost 72% faster-charging speed.

Make sure to reconfigure this charging value while the phone is in the middle of a wireless charging session otherwise the respective file will not recognize the modifications. The new value returns to its original number when the charging is complete. That having been said, you can set it permanently to the new value with a Magisk Module.
