Microsoft has released the new Windows 10 version 1809 October 2018 update with many new productivity features and performance improvements. One of the new attractions in the version 1809 is the Your Phone app which mirrors your phone on your PC Windows 10. This useful application makes it convenient to connect your phone to a computer for viewing photos and messages. So if you’re interested, here is how you can set up and use Your Phone on Windows 10.
Your Phone for Windows 10
Your Phone app is part of the new changes coming with the Windows 10 version 1809 on compatible devices. Until now, Your Phone app was only available on Android. It allows users to see and share photos from your Android device directly on your Windows 10 PC running the latest 1809 version.

Previously, this feature was limited to those registered with the Windows Insider Preview program. But now Your Phone app made its way to the open platform for anyone to use on their devices.
Here are the steps to set up and use Your Phone app on Windows 10 1809.
Step 1 – Download Your Phone app from Microsoft Store for free.
Step 2 – Now launch Your Phone app on your PC.
Step 3 – Click Get Started button and complete the setup process.
Step 4 – Sign in with your Microsoft account.
Step 5 – Once logged in, you will be directed to download the Your Phone companion app on your Android phone.
Step 6 – Hit Continue and enter your Phone Number in the previous field and hit the Send button. Make sure the number is linked to the Android phone you wish to mirror on your Windows 10 PC.
Step 7 – You will then receive a text message on your Android phone with a link to the Play Store to download the Your Phone companion app.
Step 8 – Download the Your Phone app, Sign in with your Microsoft Account and Accept terms and conditions.
Step 9 – Next, on your Windows 10 PC, you will be asked to Send Notification to your Android phone. Click the Send Notification button and your phone will receive a notification to ascertain that the connection is working.
Step 10 – You will now receive a notification on your phone asking if you want to allow your phone to connect to Your Phone app on your Windows 10 PC. Tap on Allow to complete the set up process.
You’re now all set to use the app. On the Your Phone app on Windows 10 PC running build 1809, you can see the name of your smartphone and the photos and Messages option.
All of your photos and messages will be synced which you can view any time you want as long as the Your Phone app is connected to your phone.
For Your Phone app to work, it must be installed on both your Android phone and Windows 10 PC. Deleting the app from any one device will break the link and you will have to reinstall it.
