Latest Apple iPhone models come with 3D Touch technology that allows users to press deeply on touchscreen display to launch actions without opening apps. You can use this feature for apps that support 3D Touch on your iPhone. It basically provides a shortcut to certain functions within the app. Simply hard-pressing on an app’s icon pops up an options menu providing access to main app features without having to open it. With 3D Touch, you can press deeply to go directly to a certain place within the app, this saves time by cutting extra taps on the screen. The 3D Touch works to enhance the usability of both stock and third-party application in iOS. Multiple levels of pressure on your device’s display is designed to trigger a 3D Touch response. While owners of newer iPhone devices get this feature builtin on their phones but the users of older phones can get similar touch-screen functions using jailbreak tweaks on devices running iOS 8 and iOS 9 or later. Make sure your device is jailbroken on iOS 8/9/10/11 or later to use this 3D Touch tweak.

Step 1 – Launch Cydia on your jailbroken device.

Step 2 – Tap on Search button in Cydia.

Step 3 – Type ‘Dial Force’ and hit enter.

Step 4 – Install the tweak by tapping on the button in the upper right corner of the interface.

Step 5 – Once done, restart the Springboard.

Step 6 – Now go back to the home screen of your iPhone. Press on an app icon that supports 3D Touch. Keep pressing until you see a popup menu after a short vibration. For example, for camera app, apply more than usual pressure on the app’s icon to open a menu showing options such as take selfie, record video, record slo-mo, and take phone.

Not all apps support 3D Touch. For now, it’s available only for selected apps. However, iOS developers are constantly working to add this feature to their apps, which should make it standard for all iOS applications in future.

How To Use 3D Touch In iOS Apps

Step 1 – Launch Cydia on your device. Go To Sourcesselect Edit followed by tapping Add.

Step 2 – Type http://repo.ioscreatix.com

Step 3 – Wait as the repository is added after which go to the Search section and enter UniversalForce.

Step 4 – Find the tweak, install it and restart the Springboard.

Step 5 – Go to any stock app, such as Photo.

Step 6 – Tap on the photo and drag it to the right. When the photo Preview shows up on the screen, drag the photo up and select the option from the menu.

You can use this feature on Mail, Photo, Notes and other standard iOS apps, for now. 3D Touch is useful as it offers unique ways to interact with apps.
