Get ready for a new map expansion and story quests in the Genshin Impact version 3.6 to hit all available platforms on April 12th! HoYoverse is giving the finishing touches to changes, new features, additions, and improvements to its popular role-playing game. The latest expansion aims to expand the area of exploration for players to roam around and discover hidden mysteries that lie across the Sumeru Akademiya region. Along with a larger map area, other highlights of this update include new Story Quests in addition to a new Trounce Domain (featuring a weekly boss). And as usual, two new characters also enter the fray (which was leaked recently before the official confirmation).

As you can see in the trailer above, Genshin Impact 3.6 is shaping up to be a promising update with lots for players to explore. Of all the biggest features, the spotlight is the Akademiya Extravaganza, where visitors will learn more about the esteemed institution. In the Extravaganza, two major events are scheduled to take place, The Interdarshan Championship and the Wisdom Gala. The Wisdom Gala will have booths set up throughout the place where players can participate in six different mini-games, with each one of them designed by one of the six Darshans according to their particular field of interest and research achievements.
The game’s storyline also expands to incorporate additional domains in the new version of Genshin Impact. For instance, the Six Darshans representatives will take part in the Interdashan Championship to claim the top prize. Other than this, a new desert area consisting of an oasis and wastelands opens up for play. All travelers can utilize a creature called Pari to fly across this area in an attempt to know more about the cataclysmic Khaenri’ah event that occurred 500 years ago.
Another welcome feature is that Baizhu is finally playable in Genshin Impact. This Catalyst character wields the power of his shields to unleash the power of Dendro in the interest of healing his team. Furthermore, Kaveh activates Dendro Cores with his architectural toolbox Mehrak and a Claymore, making Dendro damage more efficient in the process. Meanwhile, Nilou and Nhida rerun in the first half of the Event Wishes, giving players another chance to play their favorite characters.
With a new weekly boss making an appearance in Genshin Impact version 3.6, the dangers of the land will also expand to accommodate the addition. Nahida’s Story Quest will see Apep, the Dragon of Verdure, appearing in the new Trounce Domain. In addition, a new boss enemy joins the members of the Hilichurl family, a Hydro Hilichurl and an Anemo Hilichurl.
