Genshin Impact 2.8 Summer Fantasia Update Brings A New Map And More! Learn More Here

Genshin Impact updates and leaks are on the rise, just in time for the holiday season. And the developer team over there at Hoyoverse (previously known as miHoYo) intends to keep delivering new content with each update release of the popular role-playing game. Carrying forward the trend, the upcoming update version 2.8, titled “Summer Fantasia,” is landing across all compatible platforms on 13 July. In this version, players get a new map alongside the option to claim a character for free if they haven’t obtained them earlier.

In addition to featuring new quests, the Summer Fantasia update brings a unique event for everyone to join with friends.

Now let’s dissect the video clip. The first thing that strikes is the revamped Golden Apple Archipelago, which contains fresh challenges and questlines for players entering the area. Moreover, players get Fischl (a four-star character) for free if gamers haven’t unlocked her previously as a reward for completing the storylines in this area.

Furthermore, this update introduces the game’s new character, Shikanoin Heizou. As per Hoyoverse description, Shikanoin is the game’s first melee catalyst user. He can also deal bonus damages to enemies already reeling in the aftermath of elemental attacks. You can access Shikanoin when the new update arrives.

Lastly, an upcoming event, “Resonating Visions,” is also part of the gameplay. To get rewarded with bits of lore, keep collecting conch shells throughout the game, which you can then trade for a brand-new costume for Fischl. However, the Resonating Visions event will open at a later date.

A PlayStation Blog post shows that the new Summer Fantasia update comes free to download on July 13th, 2022. To access the latest content, players will have to download the update.

Genshin Impact is out on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS devices. Nintendo Switch players may have to wait longer to play the entertaining RPG.
