The update is meant to take the Win 10 experience to the next level through advanced functionalities. Many shortcuts, new options and settings are introduced to cut unnecessary steps required to perform daily tasks, thus saving users precious time. There is no getting around the fact that ever since the launch of Windows 10, Microsoft has taken significant strides in ameliorating user interaction with its operating system. It’s arguably the best iteration of Windows OS that we have seen from the Redmond based software company.
This fact is further reinforced by the regular security updates and patches that are released to keep the performance stable and to ensure the smooth operation regardless of differences in hardware of Windows powered devices. After months of rolling out minor updates and patches, finally users get to download the final version of this feature packed release.
According to Microsoft, Timeline is the biggest new feature of the April 30 2018 update. The feature basically allows you to find and access files, folders, videos, photos, and anything else saved during the last 30 days on multiple Windows 10 devices linked to user account. This is really amazing.
Another great aspect of the feature is it enables users to connect and interact with their Android or iOS devices via Microsoft Edge or Office 365 in order to pick up work from where you left. Just make sure that devices involved are signed in using the same account.
The Windows 10 Update Assistant is a tool from Microsoft for devices which for some reason are not getting the new update. The Update Assistant tool works similar to the Media Creation Tool, but with the different that you can only do an in-place upgrade.
