Steps to Install Stock Firmware on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
Step 1- Enable USB debugging and OEM Unlock on your device. For this, go to settings > developer options.
Step 2 – Download Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus Stock Firmware from the link above. Download the file for your device’s model.
Step 3 – Download the Odin tool from the link above and extract the zip file to launch the tool on your computer.
Step 4 – Connect your Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus to a PC with USB data cable.
Step 5 – Boot your device into download mode. To do so, turn off your phone, press and hold the Bixby and volume down button and then press the power button, keep pressing the buttons until you see the download mode on the screen.
Step 6 – Once into Download mode, check whether the ID:COM port on Odin is turned blue, if not make sure your device is properly connected to PC or correct drivers are installed otherwise Odin won’t recognize it.
Step 7 – Now click on the AP/PDA tab on Odin and locate the stock firmware file with .tar or .md5 extension and select it.
Step 8 – Make sure that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time are ticked in the Option section of Odin. Leave all other options unchecked.
Step 9 – Now hit the Start button to flash the stock firmware file. At the end of it, you will see Pass message on Odin.
