If you’re a member of the Apple’s developer program on a $99/year subscription, you can go ahead and try all the new features of the Mac OS Mojave without spending an extra buck. But before jumping to the installation part, find out whether your device is eligible to run the new OS. According to the description on Apple’s website, here are the devices compatible with Mojave.
macOS Mojave will be available this fall as a free software update for Macs introduced in mid-2012 or later, plus 2010 and 2012 Mac Pro models with recommended Metal-capable graphics cards. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages.
Once you have all the prerequisites sorted out, next steps is to make a copy of your device data on iCloud or an external storage medium. Once that is done, you are all set to Download macOS Mojave Public Beta as explained in the following steps.

You may want to note that the entire download process could take a while, so be patient and make sure you device is plugged in to a charger or has sufficient juice available to last during the update process. When the installation process is complete, your device will reboot into the macOS Mojave public beta.
Your Mac will restart several times during the process, so don’t panic. You won’t lose your files and data already saved on the previous version when the device loads into the new operating system.
