The new mobile Crash Bandicoot game is here! Popular Crash Bandicoot characters, Crash & Coco, arrive on mobile platforms globally after the end of a successful soft launch period earlier. Developers of the official Crash Bandicoot are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their hit PC version title with the launch of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! on Android and iOS.
As expected, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! is off to a great start as evidenced by over 8 million downloads through Google Play Store and Apple App Store on the release day alone.
Like previous Crash Bandicoot mobile games, the mobile spin-off game is based on an auto-runner gameplay style to make it suitable for playing on touchscreen smartphones and tablets on the go.

Video game developer KING promises that this free-to-play endless runner game offers an “asynchronous multiplayer” experience on handheld devices where you can run alongside other Crash players and form your own custom Bandicoot group.
A plethora of challenging levels, time trials, base building tasks combined with social features make sure that you get to enjoy the action with others across platforms.

Vice President of Game Design at King, Stephen Jarrett, has this to say in a statement to mark the arrival of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! for mobile:
We are very excited for players to finally get their hands on Crash Bandicoot: On the Run. It’s been a labor of love for King to bring everybody’s favorite marsupial to mobile in a way that is unique and fresh, while honoring more than 25 years of rich history with the beloved character. We wanted to make this the Crashiest Crash game ever.
Activision handed King Games the license with the expectation to design gameplay that makes running, sliding, and jumping across Wumpa Island, including battles with characters such as Dingodile and Scorporilla, as much enjoyable as the Candy Crush series on mobile.
