unc0ver 3.3.0 Beta for iOS 11.0 – 12.2
Developer Pwn20wnd has sprung a surprise on the Apple jailbreak community with the unexpected release of unc0ver version 3.3.0 beta for devices up to iOS 12.2. This latest unc0ver jailbreak update expands iOS firmware support over the previous versions of the tool thanks to the tfp0 exploit by Ned Williamson.
The most recent unc0ver 3.1.0 worked on limited iOS versions. Even the Chimera jailbreak, the closest alternative to unc0ver alternative, has compatibility that doesn’t extend beyond iOS 12.1.2 on Apple devices. However, this pre-release version of iOS jailbreak brings firmware versions all the way up to iOS 12.2 into the loop.
Previous iterations of this iOS jailbreak were popular among users who like to use their Apple devices without any restrictions imposed by the company. That said, earlier tools run on operating systems only up to iOS 12.1.2.
However, with the introduction of Ned Williamson’s “Sock Puppet” tfpo exploit, Unc0ver 3.3.0 IPA download can liberate iOS 12.1.3, iOS 12.1.4, and iOS 12.2. Besides adding coverage in terms of official support the tool gives users extra choice to experiment with latest features.

In the follow-up tweet shared just a few hours after the announcement the creator was quick to mention that the Sock Puppet exploit still has some issues that need addressing:
It seems the Sock Puppet exploit is broken on the 4K devices (A7/A8) at the moment :/. I will take a detailed look at the issue soon. Other devices should still work fine despite the reliability issues which I can’t do much about.

unc0ver iOS 12 jailbreak fully works on devices with latest A12 and A12X bionic chips in iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and iPad Pro. Moreover, it is functional on older devices that are running iOS 12.2 firmware.
unc0ver v3.3.0 Beta Features
Version 3.3.0 beta 1 was the first instance that featured Sock Puppet coupled with the exclusion of the empty_list and multi_path exploits.
Soon afterward beta 2 of version 3.3.0 introduced a fix to the bug “all preferences being off. by default.” This was followed by a succession of beta 3, 4 and 5 to further remove other issues in the jailbreak.
