Nvidia GeForce RTX 2018 Ti, 2080 & 2070 GPU [Price, Release Date & Where To Order]

Nvidia has announced its lineup of high power RTX 20 series GPUs. Soon after the unveiling of the latest Nvidia graphics cards, its partners also rolled out plans regarding the new videos cards and gaming PCs featuring the new RTX graphics.

Nvidia is still considered the king of GPU market. The iconic company has at last revealed its new GeForce RTX 20 GPU series, which features three new video cards, including the RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080, and RTX 2070 as successors to the current GTX series.

The new graphics processors are designed using Nvidia’s Turing architecture, which also makes the push of real-time ray-tracking, 4K HDR gaming at 60 frames-per-second, and new artificial intelligence capabilities.

The new series gets RTX in the name, replacing GTX, because the company wants to underscore ray-tracing, which is a new technology that renders lighting in real-time as it bounces out to create a reflection of the element in a particular scene. In simple terms, it is capable of more realistic rendition of physical behavior of the light, thus producing images closer to real-world.

Nvidia claims that the new graphics card will deliver up to six times more performance than its predecessor, which was based on Pascal architecture.

Founders Edition And Third-Party Cards

Just like the previous generation, each card will be available in two variants, the ones sold via third-party vendors and the Founders Edition that will be up for grabs directly via Nvidia’s website.

Third-party companies offering the new RTX 20 series cards include Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Zotac, PNY and EVGA, which you can preorder today in Newegg.

As for pricing, the RTX 2070 will start at $499, white the RTX 2080 will have a price of $699, and the RTX 2080Ti will go out for $999.

To buy the Founders Edition, you will have to shell out some extra money. The GeForce RTX 2070 Founders Edition is priced at $599, the RTX 2080 Founders Edition will sell for $799, and the RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition will go for $1199. So the Founders Edition costs $100 more on top of the regular price.

All these graphics card will ship starting September 20, 2018.

Gaming PCs with GeForce RTX Cards

The unveiling of the new GPUs is followed by various PC vendors and manufacturers, including Dell, Acer and HP, announcing their several new gaming computers featuring the new graphics cards from Nvidia.

Dell’s new Alienware computers have been announced, including updated Aurora and Area 51, both of which will come with the option of GeForce RTX 2080Ti, RTX 2080, RTX 2070 GPUs and with up to an Intel Core i9 18-Core processor.

The new desktop devices are slated for September release, but pricing is not yet announced.

Acer is another manufacturer that is refreshing its devices to accommodate the new GPUs. Nvidia’s new Turing architecture video cards are being incorporated in Predator Orion 9000 series PCs, which will feature up to an RTX 2080 Ti and Intel Core i9 processor.

The Predator Orion 5000 series with an RTX 2080 GPU and up to a core i7 Intel processor. Also, the Predator Orion 3000 series is getting a refresh, with the RTX 2070 and Intel Core i7 processor.

Acer’s new devices are scheduled for September release, with the pricing to be announced soon.

HP is also bringing the new Nvidia RTX 2080 cards over to its OMEN Obeliskk desktop computers, and customers will get several configuration options to customize hardware as per requirement. HP offers OMEN devices with both Nvidia and AMD processors.

The new OMEN desktop will ship in September, and pricing will start at $880.
