The introduction of the new Night Sight mode blows away other high-end smartphone cameras when it comes to night time photography. Night Sight was billed as the main attraction in this year’s Pixel phones and it is fair to say that it has lived up to the expectations. What is Night Sight?
As its name suggests, Night Sight is designed to improve the quality of images taken at night or in low-light indoor surroundings. It has intelligent software and image processing algorithms working in the background to produce enhanced quality with accurate color saturation while preserving focus and details of all the elements in the photo.
If you’re into night time photography, Night Sight mode will help you produce better images via your smartphone camera. Taking pictures with the Night Sight mode enabled produces the end-result as if you have taken them in daylight. Since it has nothing to do with the physical camera lens or sensor, all magic is performed by the underlying software. This means it can be extracted as an APK file and ported to other smartphones running Android firmware.
Google has imposed an embargo on the use of its trademark Night Sight in devices from other manufacturers. Stock Android with custom UIs from Android OEMs doesn’t have this feature by default. Enable Night Sight On OnePlus 6 & 6T [Google Pixel 3 Camera App APK]
The ported version of the Pixel 3 Camera App With Night Sight is available in two variants for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. Just make sure that you download the correct file for your smartphone model, otherwise, the Night Sight feature will not function.

Once you have downloaded the Apk file intended for your device model, perform the following steps to flash it.
- Grab your OnePlus 6 or OnePlus 6T and open file explorer.
- In the download section, locate the Night Sight Apk and tap on it to begin the installation process.
- Make sure that the Unknown Sources for the app is enabled in Settings, otherwise, your phone will not install this APK file.
- Wait for the set up to finish and then return to your home screen and tap on the newly installed app’s icon.
- When inside the app, tap on its Settings menu icon and select Night Sight option to enable it.
That’s it. You can now start taking pictures at night from your OnePlus 6 or OnePlus 6T using Night Sight. It keeps the original quality intact during the process of improving exposure in your photos.
