Microsoft has released the Update Assistant tool for its Windows 10 version 1803. The update started rolling out on April 30, 2018. But if you do not want to wait until 8th May to get it through default Windows Update, use the Update Assistant tool to install the version 1803 right away.

According to Microsoft, Timeline is the biggest new feature of the April 30 2018 update. The feature basically allows you to find and access files, folders, videos, photos, and anything else saved during the last 30 days on multiple Windows 10 devices linked to user account. This is really amazing.
Another great aspect of the feature is it enables users to connect and interact with their Android or iOS devices via Microsoft Edge or Office 365 in order to pick up work from where you left. Just make sure that devices involved are signed in using the same account.
The Windows 10 Update Assistant is a tool from Microsoft for devices which for some reason are not getting the new update. The Update Assistant tool works similar to the Media Creation Tool, but with the different that you can only do an in-place upgrade.

The Update Assistant will initiate the hardware and software verification process to ensure that your device meets the minimum requirements to install the Windows 10 April 2018 update. When the check is complete and your device passes it, download will start. When complete, click the Restart Now button to start the installation. Your PC will restart to install the new version automatically. This could take a while, depending on your device’s specs, so be patient.
